Foraoise Loch - 3 Ply Corriedale Blend
Foraoise Loch - 3 Ply Corriedale Blend
This skein reminds me of a clear lake hidden in a deep misty forest. Deep blue with layers of yellow and brown give this yarn depth, while brown and navy intense dye spots add interest. This was a very difficult colour to photograph, these photos were modified to try to get as true as possible.
Soft yarn that should have a very soft halo once worked up.
This is a custom blend of hand prepared fibre: 70% Corriedale, 15% alpaca, 15% Angora. The Corriedale was sourced from Crow Hill Farm near Peterborough, the alpaca from northern Ontario, and the Angora is from my rabbit Clouseau.
220 yd, 93g. 3 ply, spun woolen (long draw) from rolags. 12WPI, DK weight yarn.
Check out Dark Brown Corriedale blend - it’s a nice coordinate for this skein!
This fibre was washed, combed, dyed and spun by hand. Corriedale is a medium-soft wool with decent spring. The alpaca and Angora add softness and warmth. Next to skin soft for most people.
