Working with hand processed fibre is a special thing. The preparations are light and airy, and float off your fingers and onto your bobbin.

Preparing fibre from its raw form takes a lot of work, see the blog for details!

When you receive hand prepared fibres, you may notice a few small pieces of hay within the prep. This is normal, as it’s nearly impossible to remove all of the veggie matter from the fleece when working by hand. Rest assured, the amount of VM in the prepped fibres will always be very low, as we work hard to remove as much as possible before placing it in the shop. Most of these tiny pieces will fall out as you spin.

A small portion of all of the fibres are spun prior to being placed into the shop to ensure excellent quality.
